No Voting Rights for Illegal Aliens--Ever!

No one who broke our laws to enter this country should ever decide who becomes our president, a member of Congress, a governor or mayor, or a member of the local school board. This is the non-negotiable “die line” those who love our country must defend: We cannot permit a huge criminal voting block to determine our future.
And every person who entered this country without our government’s formal permission is a criminal. Period.
Democrat Party operatives embed their public arguments for amnesty for eleven-million illegals in terms of human dignity and decency. The reality? Democrat Party support for amnesty for illegals comes down to one word: “Votes.” For Dems, it's all about a permanent electoral majority - not human dignity.
The Dems would love to do to Hispanics what they've done to African-Americans: Destroy their strong family values, addict them to government programs, discourage them from pursuing good educations and liberating careers -- then herd them to polling stations to vote for Democrats anointed by party commissars.

Hairpinandarrow: Of course, Colonel Peters is generalizing. Not every person sharing a particular background has the same reaction or the same result in every situation (see last paragraph above).
Still, I get what he means. By using the needy and helpless to create a dependent class, you can completely control their actions. The ol' carrot and stick routine. That's all well and good if you're holding the stick. If you are not, you are being manipulated by the stick holder for your every need.
Meanwhile, the privilege of voting, reserved for citizens, should not be devalued (devalued is a key word here) and given away--as though the privilege came at no cost, no loss of blood, sweat, and tears, and is not so much as held in high esteem by citizens--to people who come here by breaking our laws.
There's a movement to decriminalize laws that create difficulty for people who come here illegally and, because our people feel sorry for those people, they want to make lots of exceptions. No laws? No standards? Just how do I feel (or the current administration feels--which will have varying opinions based on its party values) about this person or that person. No standard way to decide so many people's fates without recognizing the laws that govern the situation. We're talking about order. Without order, there is chaos--which only serves a leader's individual, personal whims. And it serves them outside of all 3 branches of government which are put in place by the people to serve the people in they way that system allows.
Sadly, Ralph Peters states the obvious and yet there will be those who can't see the forest for the trees. There will be many who cry "bigotry." That fact remains that, "every person who enters this country without our government's formal permission is a criminal." It's the text book definition of the word. A criminal is a person who commits a crime. Which describes anything ILLEGAL.
